Dog Collar Size Guide
How to measure and fit a dog collar. Our collar size guide to ensure comfort, safety and the perfect fit for your dog.
There are 2 ways in which you can select the right size HOUND DOG collar for your dog.
Method 1: Measure your dog's neck with a soft measuring tape. Lay the tape flat against your dog's neck to take measurement. You do not need to put two fingers to sit under the tape when you take measurement, we have built that into your HOUND DOG collar for you. Top tip: if you don’t have a soft tape measure, use string then measure this length with a ruler.
Method 2: Measure your dog's current collar. To do this lay the dog collar out and use a tape measure from the outer edge of the leather where it holds the buckle to the hole you normally use to fasten around the neck.

The 2 Finger Rule for Fitting Dog Collars: When you fit the collar on your dog there should be enough room to comfortably put two fingers flat under the collar. It should be able to move but not slide over your dogs ears. This ensures maximum comfort and safety. Please refer to the size chart on each page of our Classic Leather Collar, Sighthound Collar and Webbing & Leather collar for style specific sizes.
